a classroom. It also
provides suggestions on dealing with these issues to provide the highest

for the entire class group.
Section 5: Cultural Considerations
and Diversity
Section 5 discusses the concept of cultural diversity and provides an
overview of the related
issues in higher education and how diversity awareness impacts student
success and student
retention. Strategies for increasing diversity awareness are proposed
for both the classroom
and institution as a whole.
